A refurbished phone, iPad or smartwatch is a gently used, authentic device that has undergone intensive testing and inspection to ensure it is in great working condition. The phone, iPad or smartwatch may have minor surfaces scratches or scuffs, but this will in no way affect the function of the device.
Our partner Alegre, sources only Australian compliant devices that have been data wiped and cross checked against a national police lost and stolen database. They perform an industry leading 72 point check to ensure that the phone performs at a high standard. The devices sold by Alegre may have been sourced from overseas. Devices currently available for sale will be fully operational after the 3G network is shut down.

What does my refurbished device come with?
You will receive the following in the box with your refurbished device.
All phones and iPads come with a FREE Boost SIM card, a charging cable & wall charger in the box. If you have purchased a smartwatch you will receive a magnetic charging cable and silicone band in the box.
Charging cables and wall chargers are supplied to our partner Alegre by a 3rd party accessory supplier.
Is a refurbished device recycled?
All Boost refurb devices are recycled, so you can help the environment and you don't need to skimp on quality.

Where do your refurb devices come from?
The majority of our refurbished devices are sourced through Aussie Trade in programs by our partner Alegre.
We can’t guarantee that any particular device originated in Australia, however all devices have been through a rigorous diagnostic process, are unlocked and available for use on Australian Networks.
What is the battery health of a refurb devices?
As part of our 72 point check each device is checked and must pass a battery capacity test that meets with the manufacturer specifications. The battery is also covered under our warranty and we offer a 30 day Satisfaction Guarantee on all refurb devices.
What does refurbished mean? Do you use genuine parts?
All our devices are pre-owned but also refurbished. Meaning that our devices are used but they are genuine devices that have undergone rigorous testing and are covered under our warranty. Put simply, we do not disassemble devices and replace parts with non-genuine ones.

What is the difference between the device conditions?
A refurbished phone, iPad or smartwatch is a gently used, authentic device that has undergone intensive testing and inspection to ensure it is in great working condition. The phone, iPad or smartwatch may have minor surfaces scratches or scuffs, but this will in no way affect the function of the device. Our devices are separated into the following conditions:
As New - No signs of wear. Item is flawless and in pristine condition. 100% fully functional.
Excellent - Minimal signs of wear. Item may have very faint marks on the screen or the frame. 100% fully functional.
Very Good - Light signs of wear. May have some visible scratches on the screen and/or some scuffing. 100% fully functional.
Are there any marks or scratches on the screen?
We don’t categorise our devices by where the signs of wear and tear on the device is located - it is graded as an overall condition. A refurbished phone, iPad or smartwatch is a gently used, authentic device that has undergone intensive testing and inspection to ensure it is in great working condition. The phone, iPad or smartwatch may have minor surface scratches or scuffs, but this will in no way affect the function of the device. Our devices are separated into the following conditions:

Are there any cracks, chips or dents on your refurbished devices?
A refurbished phone, iPad or smartwatch is a gently used, authentic device that has undergone intensive testing and inspection to ensure it is in great working condition. The phone, iPad or smartwatch may have minor surface scratches or scuffs, but this will in no way affect the function of the device.
Can I see photo's of the specific device that I purchase?
We don’t take images of every device. A refurbished phone, iPad or smartwatch is a gently used, authentic device that has undergone intensive testing and inspection to ensure it is in great working condition.
The phone, iPad or smartwatch may have minor surfaces scratches or scuffs, but this will in no way affect the function of the phone. We’re so convinced you’ll love your refurbished device that we offer a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not completely satisfied, return it within 30 days and we’ll refund or exchange it for you

Warranty
What is the warranty for a refurbished devices?
All refurbished devices are backed by Alegre’s 12 month warranty, so you can rest assured that you’re covered. The warranty period begins from the day you receive your device and will be valid up until the very last day of the warranty period.
The devices come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. This excludes faults caused by the way the device is treated and/or used.
Prior to returning a device for warranty, please contact Alegre help@refurbished.boost.com.au (7 days) to obtain a Return Authorisation Number along with instructions on how to ship your item back. Once received and inspected, the phone will be repaired, refunded or replaced.
Warranty is void in the below instances:
• Cracked screen or physically damaged
• Water damage
• Software that has been tampered with
• Unauthorised repairs (3rd party repairs)
• Customer has failed to take reasonable steps to avoid the quality becoming unacceptable
• Customer has used the product abnormally
Please note:
12 month warranty is valid for refurbished phones only (excludes new phones, SIMs and SIMs bundled with refurbished phones)
• Alegre do not accept responsibility for return items until they reach the warehouse so we strongly suggest using tracking and/or insurance for the delivery
• Alegre will not accept a returned device that is iCloud or Google locked. If your device is account locked you will receive a notification from to remove the lock. The device will be returned if still locked after 5 business days
• IMEI will be validated against the IMEI shipped. Return will not be accepted on mismatched IMEI’s
What is the 30 day satisfaction guarantee?
We’re convinced you’ll love your refurb! If you’re not completely satisfied, return it within 30 days and our refurbished partner Alegre, will refund or exchange it for you.
Simply contact Alegre on help@refurbished.boost.com.au (7 days) and request a Return Authorisation Number and instructions on how to ship your item back. Once received and inspected, the device will be repaired, refunded or replaced.
The satisfaction guarantee is void if the phone:

I bought my phone in Coles. What's the warranty & returns process?
Boost Mobile premium refurbished phones purchased from Coles, acting as a selling agent of Alegre Pty Ltd (ABN 19 159 022 296, the holder of second-hand dealer licence 2PS11940) are sold with a 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee and a 12 Month Warranty.
30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee
In addition to the warranties which apply to your device (described below), if at any time within the first 30 days from your purchase date you are not satisfied with your device, you may return your device for an exchange or refund. Once received and inspected, Alegre will facilitate an exchange or refund.
12 Month Warranty
In addition to the consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law, Alegre devices are supported by a 12 month warranty from your original purchase date against defects and guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the device repaired or replaced by Alegre if the device fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. This excludes faults caused through mis-use or mis-treatment of the device. The 12 Month Warranty & 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee is void in the following instances:
Cracked screen or physically damaged, water damaged, software that has been tampered with, unauthorised repairs (3rd party repairs), customer has failed to take reasonable steps to avoid the quality becoming unacceptable, customer has used the product abnormally.
How to return your device
To make a claim under the 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee or under the 12 Month Warranty, please submit your request via https://alegre.net.au/coleswarranty
Upon submission, you will obtain an Australia Post shipping label along with instructions on how to package and post your device back to Alegre via Australia Post. Once Alegre has received your returned device and it has been inspected by our qualified technicians, Alegre will facilitate a repair, replacement, or refund.
Return Checklist:
Please ensure you have removed your SIM card from your device and has been factory reset and powered off prior to returning to Alegre.
Alegre can not accept a returned device that is Apple iCloud locked. If the device is iCloud locked, you will receive a notification from Alegre asking you to remove the lock via www.iCloud.com. If you fail to remotely remove the iCloud lock from the device within 5 business days, the device will be returned to you and your return claim rejected.
Please include copy of your Coles Receipt / Proof of Purchase with the returned device. Failure to provide this proof of purchase will result in your return claim being rejected.
You must return the same device as supplied by Coles. Alegre will cross reference the IMEI/Serial Number of your device against all devices supplied to Coles. Warranty Claims and/or Returns will not be accepted if the original device was not supplied by Alegre to Coles. 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee and 12 Month Warranty claims submitted to Alegre with incorrect information or without a valid proof of purchase will be deemed incomplete, rejected and the device will be returned to you. If you do not have the necessary details to submit your claim, please contact Alegre:

Shipping and delivery
How long will my refurbished device take to arrive?
All orders placed before 2pm will ship the same business day and orders placed after 2pm will ship the following business day.
Metro orders will arrive within 1-3 business days. Rural locations and PO Boxes will arrive within 1-6 days.
You’ll receive an email with tracking details when your package has been dispatched. All orders will require a signature upon delivery.

Can I track my package?
Absolutely. Once your order has been shipped, your tracking number will be emailed to you.
How can I change the mailing address for my shipment?
For security purposes, we can only ship to the address provided at checkout. It is extremely important that the correct and properly formatted shipping address be used at the time of checkout.

Will my device be impacted by the closure of the 3G network?
From the 28th October Optus and Telstra have switched off their 3G networks. This means that all 3G and some 4G refurbished devices will no longer be supported. To find out if your mobile phone is impacted SMS 3 to 3498.
We understand how important it is for you to stay connected. If your Boost Mobile refurb is impacted see options below.
- Refurbished Phone purchased from Boost.com.au: If your Boost Mobile refurb is impacted, simply contact Alegre on help@refurbished.boost.com.au between 9-5pm (7 days) and they will advise you on your options.
- Refurbished Phone purchased from Coles: If your Boost Mobile refurb is impacted, simply visit a Coles Store or call 1800 061 562 with your receipt or proof of purchase and Coles will present you with some options.

I have a 4G phone why is it impacted by the closure of the 3G network
Some phones can’t use the full 4G network on Australia’s Band 28 (700Mhz). Because of this, they’ll have reduced and intermittent connectivity after our 3G network closes. This may affect some calls to emergency services. It's important to act now, even if you have a newer device. To check your phone, SMS 3 to 3498. Alternatively, refer to your manufacturer's device guide.
